Initial Infant Evaluation

Service Description

The infant feeding evaluation will be a comprehensive evaluation including an oral-facial examination and functional feeding assessment combined. This will include the assessment of tethered oral tissues, oral motor strength and coordination and functional feeding. The infant evaluation can be completed with any infant who is breastfeeding, bottle feeding, combination feeding or is working towards G-tube weaning. The infant feeding evaluation can also be completed for young children ages birth to one year old for transitioning to solid textures.
